Jott: Speech-to-Text Mobile Interface

Saw this very interesting new usage of speech-to-text: Two former Microsoft guys cooked up an idea, that lets you either send notes, email, text messages to yourself or to others by talking into your mobile phone. You speed dial a number, select a contact by voice, wait for the beep, speak up to 30 seconds. The contact receives email and text message simultaneously. They claim their speech recognition works even in noisy environments like cars etc. Right now still in Public Beta, you can check it out here:

Another blogger, Robert Scoble, also did a video interview with the founders of, - John Pollard, CEO, and Shreedhard Madhavapetti, VP of engineering.
